The claim that wind turbines emit harmful levels of electromagnetic radiation (EMF) is not supported by scientific evidence.(1) Multiple studies and assessments confirm that the electromagnetic fields (EMFs) produced by wind turbines are well within safe limits and significantly lower than those generated by common household appliances.(2). For example, the EMF from an electric can opener can reach 60 µT, while wind turbines generate only around 0.44 µT at a distance of 1 meter, dropping below 0.1 µT at 4 meters.(2) This demonstrates that wind turbines produce much lower levels of EMF than devices we regularly use in our homes without concern.
