ACT works closely with our partners in New Hampshire to forge local solutions to the state’s energy needs. Read on for a few of the topics we’re covering in the Granite State.
Performance-based ratemaking (PBR) shifts utility incentives from capital investment to focus on maximizing the value of infrastructure already in place. Numerous states have embraced this ratemaking structure, and ACT will advocate for PBR to make the climate transition and electrification more attainable and equitable in NH and beyond.
Electric vehicles (EVs) can substantially reduce fossil fuel use and improve air quality compared to their gas-powered counterparts. However, the development of infrastructure and incentive programs can be expensive, which is why we need governmental policies, like NH’s Clean School Bus Program, to make the EV future a reality.
State climate plans, clean energy and CO2 reduction goals are key to ensuring progress and accountability. With changing NH leadership, ACT will advance best practices and policies that accelerate clean energy and climate change progress in the Granite State.
